FAM Construction, LLC is a joint venture between Ferrovial Agroman and Allan Myers. Ferrovial has been active in the North American transportation industry since 1999. Ferrovial's experience includes some of the largest, most complex transportation projects in the United States. Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction company and materials provider in the Mid-Atlantic.

Together they have been awarded the Transform I-66 Outside the Beltway project, this project involves multi-modal improvements to 22.5 miles of I-66 corridor from I-495 in Fairfax

County to University Boulevard in Prince William County. The project features two express lanes alongside three regular lanes in each direction, with space in the median for future transit; corridor-wide bike and pedestrian improvements; and safety and operational improvements at key interchanges throughout the corridor.

Role Summary:

The Assistant Superintendent aids in coordinating activities and supervises the construction process as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.

DUTIES:

  • Assist in coordinating activities
  • Assist in directing subcontractor field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  • Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
  • Assist in ordering materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
  • Assist in promoting job site safety, encourages safe wok practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
  • Maintains an organized job site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years of experience of progressive responsibility on similar construction projects;
  • Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safe work practices.
  • Must have Heavy Civil experience.
